went down in the 3.0 in the afternoon HHA showing 12kts so knew unless it built could be out luck of luck. It was sunny and warm but the wind didn't turn up.
Dave Coles was planing on his formula / 12M and Neil and family were long bd'ing, sea dead flat wind about 8-10kts.
Rigged Tushy XR race 9.4M/Phantom 380 longbd and had an hour play, hooked in but planing on the plate only, did a few beats and called it a day.
Now know am old as Neil's grandson was planing next to me on the semi short bd and very small sail, first time out on the sea from Alton.
He would have been planing on a 4.7M / skinny mast combo. Hey Neil u tight git get ur grandson the gear, he his bloody good!
A few sailors hanging around hoping, but when the kiters quit u know its dead. Mind DC did 25 mph in very little wind! hope for wind nxt week.
6.5Nm - 14.59kts
